After releasing his solo debut album, “Replevin”, last summer, MP has decided to follow it up with an even more soul bearing offering, “The Night The Date Was Tied.”  Recorded on Veteran’s Day of 2009, this five song live recording features Powell, one microphone, and a piano.  A completely fearless and, once again, extremely honest approach from the young singer/songwriter.  Powell says, “I wanted to present myself in the purest way possible. Completely open chested. I wanted it to feel like it is just me and the listener, I wanted to heighten the connection.  The best way to do that is to get rid of the noise.”
